Ear pain, Otitis Media, Itchy Ears

Cause

When the sternocleidomastoid muscle located in the neck becomes tense, ears can be irritated displaying symptoms of itchiness, pain, and otitis media (myofascial pain syndrome)

Self-Diagnosis 

1. Hold sternocleidomastoid muscles with your thumb and index finger and rub. Be sure not to hold only the outer skin. Hold tightly and press hard. 

2. Press strongly the area around the ear bones to locate the area of pain.

Recommendation

Stternocleidomastoid muscle is highly affected by stress. People who are more sensitive than others or are vulnerable to a stressful environment are prone to experience neurological disorders. If the patient has neurological diseases like depression or insomnia, or panic disorder, it is strongly recommended to check out the Neurological Disease in the menu and treat other diseases simultaneously.
