Stomach Cramps (stomach pain), Heartburn, Bloating, Flatulence

Cause

They are symptoms (myofascial pain syndrome) caused by abnormal activities of the esophagus, stomach, and colon due to tension in the pectoral muscle, rectus abdominis muscle, and oblique muscle.

Self-diagnosis

Press the muscle in the area where you experience the symptoms. For example, if you have chest pain, try pressing the muscles in the chest. In the case of the sternum pain, press the muscles around the sternum. In the case of stomach cramps, press the middle and below naval region.

Or push out your stomach purposefully, and feel the muscles with your fingers by pressing the abdomen (rectus abdominis) with a strong force of around 4kg. Gently rub the muscles to find the painful area.

Treatment

Recommendation

The treatment is more effective if the patient also combines muscle-stretching exercises and massaging of the painful area.

The rectus abdominis and obliques are areas affected by stress. People who are more sensitive than others or are vulnerable to a stressful environment are prone to experience irritable colitis. If this description suits you, it is highly recommended to check out the Neurological Disease in the menu and treat other diseases simultaneously.

Indigestion

It refers to a stuffy feeling around the sternum. It feels as if there is a stone in the sternum area.

Cause

This is caused by the tension of the muscles around the spine, which interferes with the activities of the stomach.

Self-diagnosis

Feel the muscles marked in red in the photo with your fingers in perpendicular to the sternum with a strong force of around 4kg. Gently rub the muscles to find the painful area.

Treatment

Recommendation

Acupuncture treatment and additionally, it is good to press the affected area strongly or to loosen the back muscles, that is, to roll the spine in a circle (cat movement, etc.) from time to time.

The treatment is more effective if the area of pain is passaged or if the patient stretches the muscles around the sternum by doing a cat/cow pose in yoga.
