How Chims Band Works

Chims Treatment uses lights generated from the body

The body generates free radicals when it experiences stress, muscle tension, excessive impact or endocrine abnormalities. Inflammation and pain are accompanied in the presence of free radicals, and at the same time, weak lights — equivalent to 1/1000 of that of a firefly — are produced. These lights are called bio-photons.

When the lights from the area of pain or inflammation are reflected back to the body, it creates a phenomenon of mutual resonance. Because the reflective lights exhibit the same kind of wavelength with that of the lights emitted from the area of pain, they can penetrate the skin deeply stimulating sensory nerves.

Silver has the highest rate of reflectivity of all metals. To make Chims Band, I attached reflective materials including thin silver strips to the sticky side of the tape. To make Chims Wear, a Chims Treatment product based on the same muscle theory, I used processed ceramics that demonstrated an excellent rate of reflectivity and transmittance.

Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) and laser therapy are used for sensory nerve treatments. However, these devices use external wavelengths. which means that the lights do not resonate with those generated from the area of pain, which tend to fluctuate. The external wavelengths cannot penetrate the body deeply, and it is therefore not effective in stimulating sensory nerves.

When the wavelengths of the external and internal lights match, the sensory nerves under the area of pain are stimulated. This stimulation leads to the restoration of an optimal condition for endorphins, the key substance in relieving pains and inflammations. Composed of silver, acrylic, and processed ceramics. the Chims Band and Chims Wear are effective treatments for restoring the balance of endorphins.

Chims Treatment has been published in several clinical journals. To name a few, it was chosen as an excellent clinical technology by the Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine. A number of research papers with case studies were published by university professors and other oriental medical doctors, who confirmed the effectiveness of the Chims Treatment. The therapeutic effectiveness, safety and efficacy of the Chims Treatment were further confirmed byThe Study on the Analgesic Effect of Chims Band after Endoscopic Shoulder Surgery, supported by Dongshin University Oriental Medicine Hospital, Gwangju, Korea.
